HTC 10 Review

Introduction

The year 2016 has been an extraordinary year for smartphone producers and smartphone users. This year has been a great years with many excellent devices after a not so great 2015.The HTC 10 is a great device. I am sure that it is the best HTC ever made combining a beautiful design with a well-made software , creating a great overall device. The other phones that will appear this year will have to have a special set of features or introduce a new technology.

Design

What pretty much everyone can say about Htc phones is that they have an awesome design. The new Htc 10 takes a new design direction. The main difference is that it doesn’t have such a unique design like all the phones until now . It begins to look more like an Samusng Galaxy S6 or a iPhone but I can say that still it isn’t a copy of those phones. The phone is made overall from metal which not many phones nowdays are. It has an elegant curve and a nice feeling in the hand.

Camera

The camera sensor on the back is in the upper centre but what I personally like is that it doesn’t stand out . Alongside it is an LED flash and a space for the laser . ke any metal phone, the sleek design is broken up by two bands of antenna lines that run around the top and bottom. These don’t stand out anywhere near as much as they do on the iPhone and they feel like part of the design, rather than something that has to be there. Along the side you’ve got the usual combination of a volume rocker and sleep/wake button, the latter of which is bevelled and easily identifiable even when the phone is in your pocket.

Buttons

When you flip the phone you can see that it is a clean device. What Is really rarely is that the brand logo has been removed , even though it is a little change it makes a big difference. Belov the diplay you have a capacitive home key but which is more a touchpad. Like a lot of phones nowdays it has a fingerprint scanner but what I miss is the satisfying click when you press it. On the bottom you find the USB-C port , which are all in line with for example the camera sensor and headphone jack which are on the top , creating a symmetrical phone.

Screen

The screen is a real update to the M9. The growth is not big , being now an 5.2 inch screen but the real update is the resolution. The resolution now is 2560 x 1440 quad-Hd , and it is covering 99.9% of the sRGB colour gamut. The only not so awesome thing about it is that it is a 5th-generation LCD and it isn’t so vibrant like the Super AMOLED screen. It isn’t a very big difference and you will only notice a slight difference if you have both phones next to each other. The colors are beautiful being bright and punchy while not being oversaturated , and being very accurate. The only downside of the colors is that the screen has a slight pinkish tinge.

Performance and Audio

Nowdays a neglected phone feature , Htc shines when it comes to audio. Even though the stereo speakers are not present anymore like on the M9 , the audio quality is still present. The speakers have been moved a little been and they have also been massively improved quality-wise. When listening with the earbuds you can really feel the effect of the BoomSound software which adapts to any type of music , not only bass heavy songs. Now looking at the performance I can say that it is really smooth and just works perfectly. The HTC 10 comes with a Snapdragon 820 and 4GB of Ram which are more than enough. Everything that you use daily or requires multitasking just works great . I have never had any slow-down or frame drop in a game . Now to the temperature I can say that it’s a “cool” phone. It doesn’ heat up at all and the only time it slightly heat ups is when you are fast charging and also installing apps but it istn’ the only phone having this problem.

Conclusion

So all in all I can say that the Htc 10 is just a great phone and useful not only for day-to-day use because of its specifications. So if you are an Htc fan waiting for a new good phone or just want to try something new , not only Samsung and Iphone give it a try and be amased of the HTC 10.
