The OnePlus 6

Design

The Design of the OnePlus 6 is amazing. Its clean, beautiful, modern and the entire build is almost glass with a metal frame giving the phone a solid feel. The trending top screen notch is present in almost every premium smartphone, and OnePlus followed up on that with this new model. The OnePlus 6 has many different colors to choose from: mirror black, midnight black, silk white and red. An issue with the midnight black version is that fingerprints will be visible after just a short usage. The display size may seem similar to its predecessor but it’s actually a bit larger, allowing more room for the manufacturers to add the notch at the top of the screen.

Specs

This is a top of the line smartphone. This model has some impressive specs and a gorgeous design. While its a bit pricier, it’s nowhere near as expensive as other flagship phones. You can opt for 2 versions of the OnePlus 6: 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. Whichever one you choose, you can be sure to have an good experience using it.

The battery is where the OnePlus 6 falls short. The fact that this model is packing some serious hardware, you would think that OnePlus would fit it with a decent battery. However, this model comes with a 3,300mAh battery. Moderate usage will keep your phone alive through the day but intensive usage will drain the battery quicker.

Final Thoughts

The manufacturers are keeping their tradition alive by delivering high quality smartphones at a lesser price than its competitors.

The OnePlus 5T

Design

The OnePlus 5T features many similarities to the OnePlus 3 in terms of design. However, it comes with better hardware. Many brands are starting to abandon the headphone jack in favor of usb type-C connectors and it seems that OnePlus is giving the customers what they want and by including the headphone jack.

The display now occupies the entire front. The home button is gone and so is the bezel around the display. Because of the larger screen, the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back of the case.

The camera on the 5T is very good. Shots taken during the daytime offer great images with amazing contrast and color, it doesn’t do as well during low light conditions. There is a secondary lens that activates during extremely dark situations which helps to reduce image noise.

The OnePlus 5T battery is the same as the Oneplus 5. Using the phone in everyday tasks will keep the battery alive for the entire day without the need to charge.

Final Thoughts

The OnePlus 5T is a great improvement over the previous version. It performs amazingly with no lag whatsoever, has a decent camera that can take sharp images and a battery that can easily last you the entire day. So, if you are looking to buy a high end smartphone, this would be a great choice because of its lower price tag and the great hardware that comes with it.

Design

The design of the OnePlus 3T hasn’t changed much from its predecessor. The manufacturers take a very minimalist approach when it comes to the phone’s design. At first glance, it may seem that there might be nothing special under the hood. Compared to other smartphones of its time, the OnePlus 3T’s design is decent, looks good but doesn’t offer anything new.

Specs

It comes loaded with a Snapdragon 841 and has 6GB RAM with either 64GB or 128GB storage capacity. These specifications are pretty good considering the price.

The camera of the OnePlus 3T was extremely good compared to other phones released in 2016. Daytime photos offer amazing clarity and contrast, while in darker environments, image noise is visible but this is due the camera sensors that were available at the time.

Inside the case we can find a 3400mAh battery and it does a good job of keeping the 3T alive for at least a day and a half. Using the phone more intensely throughout the day may drain the battery quicker, but it will still hold for most of the day.

Some Thoughts

The OnePlus 3T may be an older version, but it still has to be mentioned on this list because of its ridiculous low price and great hardware. The 3T is one of the best mid-range smartphones you can buy if you really find yourself on a tight budget.
